Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. This page explains which cookies this website uses, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
The short version
If you are just visiting our website, we don’t set any cookies. We don’t use analytics, advertising or social media tracking, and our fonts and images are served from our own website rather than from third parties such as Google Fonts. That is why you don’t see a cookie banner.
Cookies for our own staff
Our website runs on WordPress. When a member of our team logs in to manage the site, WordPress sets the strictly necessary cookies below. They are needed for logging in and are exempt from consent under PECR. They are never set for ordinary visitors.
| Cookie | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks the browser accepts cookies before logging in | Until the browser is closed |
| wordpress_[code], wordpress_sec_[code] | Keeps a logged-in user signed in to the admin area securely | Until the browser is closed, or 14 days if “Remember me” is ticked |
| wordpress_logged_in_[code] | Remembers that a user is logged in | Until the browser is closed, or 14 days if “Remember me” is ticked |
| wp-settings-[id], wp-settings-time-[id] | Remembers how a logged-in user has set up the admin screens | 1 year |
Links to other websites
Our pages link to Google Maps, Google reviews and Instagram. We don’t embed them on our pages, so they can’t set cookies while you are on our site. If you follow one of these links, the other website’s own cookie and privacy policies apply.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them won’t affect how our website works for visitors. Guidance for each browser is available at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting them.
